Roald dahl, brilliant. I spent about 3 hours to read a compilation of 13 stories and this is the 1 word that came to mind. The stories are so engaging, because you will never ever know what the ending is like. The suspense just continues building up and keeps you guessing. Even his endings are not those full endings, but leaves it to the readers imaginations. No wonder people have always said what a good author he is. Simply wickedly creative i say.
Today i got to play street soccer with norman and some of his friends from JJ. Finally, even though we were playing in an indoor pavilion kind of place, but still it felt great. It's really so exciting just being in the team, even if i do not know a single 1 of them. But in a way it's good because i could just get on with my game and play my style and i felt that once again i'm more comfortable playing in defence because...i get to rest more!!
Haha! No more stamina already! But i did surge forward when i had the opportunities and some of my passes, erm, i do not mean to self praise here, but were beautiful man. Like how once i lobbed the ball over their defence but the striker couldn't finish it. And once i received a pass on my head and was going to volley it immediately when the keeper was just beside me and i decided to hold back and not end up kicking him accidentally. It felt so good to make those through passes and once-in-a-while magical stuff.
Our team went on a 5 game winning streak, with the keepers rotating everytime a goal is scored. And honestly, i had no choice but to let in some goals because i was more worried about my face and my operation site. It's still quite raw and the dorctor told me that i would need about 3 months for it to recover and i wouldn't want to go for another operation should my face be rammed by the ball. But other than that i think i was quite ok playing as a defender, allowing the other 2 guys the freedom to attack. Of course, during the 5th game, no more stamina and so no more magical stuff from me...oh well...
Great day...
