I was on the road to recovery when suddenly i was hit with a bout of weakness yesterday. It came when i woke up in the morning, i could feel a super duper painful headache that i'd not felt in years. It's those where when i make a sudden movement, a side of my head would throb and i would have to close my eyes to absorb that pain.
What's worse, my whole body felt weak and as the day wore on, it's apparent that i was feeling weaker and weaker. My body seemed to have developed a new found extreme sensitivity to movement and every movement i make will cause all my muscles to tingle inside. And not to mention my bones and my joints, aching...
Very soon, fever started to set in and by that time i was so weak that i was reduced to lying on my bed. But i couldn't sleep because i've been drinking so much water that i've to visit the loo every 15min. I suspected either dengue or flu, becuase most of the symptoms matched these 2. For dengue the symptoms that havne't appear was the rashes and for flu, it was the runny nose, sore throat, phlegm etc.
Anyway i was quite worried that it'd be dengue because on tuesday, i remember being bitten by a mosquito and the timing of the onset of symptoms matched those that i'd researched. A visit to the doctor that night led to no conclusions and all he gave me was paracetamol to control the fever and pain, and told me that if i still have fever on monday, i would have to go back to the clinic and take a blood test to see if it's dengue, since it was too early to take a blood test then.
And of course this morning, i felt very much better, maybe under the influence of paracetamol, but much to my dismay, when i woke up, there was a slight rash near my tummy which for some strange reason hasn't disappeared even though i'd taken extra precautions not to scratch it. Anyway, i've decided to battle whatever i'm going to face and i'm gonna down many many cups of fluids and water everyday man.
Oh, and the joint pain is really no joke. I really can understand the pain that old people go through now. The pain is really so incredible that i cannot describe it, except that it feels like somebody has somehow managed to use a hammer to hit my bones directly. It's a pain that comes from the inside out and it feels very sharp, it's like eating ice cream with sensitive teeth. And it lasted for about 30 seconds and left me gasping in shock and in pain.
Wow..it's a new experience and pain man. I wonder how people with cancer feel. Surely their agony is 10 or maybe 100 times worse, given the radiotherapy they have to go through and the abnormal swelling of the tumors. Wow...such pain, i didn't know could ever exist.
