hmm..gonna tok bout this 2 days tt i had..yesterday was mi last official day of attachment wif the faculty of dentistry at nuh..and i must say tt it's indeed one of the most wonderful experiences tt i ever had. Of course there were more observations, this time of crowns , bridges and of course root canal..well...now i knoe wad mi dentist used to do to mi..and of course todae i witness many many extractions and i tell u..the biggest challenge for mi would be to overcome mi fear of injections and extractions..

Anywae, there's a special case todae where a patient requested lingual treatment from the orthodontist hu happened to be mi orthodontist's ex classmate in nus..well, he's a veh helpful and a veh veh nice guy..so anywae, he let us see the lingual treatment..basically, lingual is braces tt is put at the underside of the teeth..i guess pple dun want others to see the ugly braces on the front side of the teeth..but i tot having metal on ur teeth is a current trend among pple!

I must say tt Dr Ong, the orthodontist treating the patient was veh veh veh professional and relly he's damn good..haha i mean his skills are relly..wow man! And because of the lingual treatment, the doctor's schedule was delayed and the nurse went off at 5.30pm and the doctor had 1 last patient..so mi and pei yuan being bhb, asked the doctor if we can help him and he was like abit apprehensive at first coz he's afraid tt yue4 bang1 yue4 mang2 u knoe? so i juz verbally said all tt an assistant needed to do like disinfect everything, prepare a new set of tools, clear the old set, prepare the modules for the braces etc...and to others it's boring but somehow i found the experience refreshing and exciting..

And tt was the end..no more attachment and no more fun..so well, i decided to go look for dental assistant job today and i was relly discouraged. There's a veh apparent gender discrimination tt totally irks mi..Male doctors only want to look for female assistants, and female doctors also only looking for female assistants..i dunnoe wad's wrong wif a male being a dental assistant man..it's juz so irritating..

And todae i had to swallow mi pride, and wait outside the dental clinic for an hour plus till the clinic was closing coz the dentist was veh veh busy wif patients..even though the receptionist had told mi tt they were only looking for females, i still chose to wait and try to convince the dentist. I felt tt when it came to being the job, it's not the money tt matter but the passion involved. I juz got so much passion for the job tt i was willing to like take veh veh little pay..i was hoping tt the dentist would consider mi lar..But hu knoes, she din even game mi a chance to tok and came out and started shooting at mi like she only want females and i dun fit tt qualifications and even asked if it satisfied mi to knoe tt she not gonna employ mi..

Man..i can't believe i actually swallowed mi pride and wait for this kinda woman man..I dun understand y issit so unfair tt there's gender discrimination tt is attempting to stop mi from fulfilling mi ambition of being a dentist..all i want is to learn something and do something tt i have passion in and those idiotic stupid dentists are not even giving mi a chance..i dunnoe wad made them so screwed up because the dental students in NUS were so helpful and compared to these idiotic pple, they're worlds apart. Sucks..they must have been so screwed by stress and money tt their passion is not to serve pple anymore but to serve the very thing called MONEY. Idiots..
